Focusing Level 1: Unfolding the Focusing Process

(2 day workshop)

December 2 & 3, 2017
9:30 am - 4:30 pm

This is a two day workshop involving an emphasis on the Focuser, safety, learning presencing skills, listening, reflecting and 3 listening questions, deepening the relationship with the felt sense and lots of practice. 


Focusing
is about connecting with your body’s wisdom and getting to know the whole of each of your situations which gives you much more knowledge, information and wisdom than just your thinking.

It is about developing an Unconditional Compassionate Presence so that you can tap into that vast wisdom, thus moving forward in your life.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Introduction to Focusing
(1 day workshop)

This workshop develops Focusing as a gentle but powerful self-help process and is largely experiential. Important aspects of Focusing and Focusing partnerships are explored. Participants are given tools to integrate a practice of Focusing into daily living.

Level I: Unfolding the Focusing Process
(2 day workshop)

Level I continues to elaborate the participant’s understanding of the Focusing process. The training approach continues to be largely experiential. The emphasis in Level I is to support the Focuser’s own deepening relationship with their felt sense. Basic Listening skills are learned. Participants are encouraged to continue to integrate a practice of Focusing into daily living.

Level II: Listening and
Being With
(2 day workshop)

Level II learning model continues to be largely experiential. In Level II the emphasis for participants is to learn how to accompany and support the Focuser deepen their Focusing experience. The many practical applications of Focusing will be discussed. The difference between Focusing and Focusing Oriented Therapy will also be discussed.
